The Cup Suit

"Inspiration"
I loved the soft blue tones and the honey brown colors of this card. The chalice is actually the cup I use at SCA events.

I really liked the soft light of this card, the contrast between the bright of the window and the darkness of the room was dynamic.

"Despair"
I like this card very much, the sepia browns, tans and blue combination is very appealing to me.

"Nostalgia"
This is an illustration of my friend Michaela, the card's meaning is "nostalgia".  This card is done with a technique using the additive of gum arabic.

I am very proud of this painting, the shading and tone of her skin was difficult to achieve but it came out perfectly. 		Page of Cups Page of Cups

This card I found incredibly challenging. It took several weeks to complete. Each time I thought it done, I went back and changed things, added things, redid portions. And at the end of the day, it turned out to be a good card.

"The Dilettante"
An admirer or lover of the arts.

(Secretly - all I can think of when I see this card is "arrr... there's a little Captain in all of us".)
